Alice M. Lyons, 64, of DuBois died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at her home. Born Sept. 19, 1948 in Brockway, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Marjorie (Kroah) Moyer.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War. She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Rockwell International Manufacturing.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching television.
On April 27, 1974, she married Ronald R. Lyons. He survives.
She is survived by her children, Lori Lyons of Leesburg, VA and James Lyons and his wife, Heidi of Reynoldsville; a brother, John Moyer and his wife, Ina of Streater, IL; a sister, Melissa Hinderliter and her husband, Edward of Angola, NY; two grandchildren, Baylee Hetrick and Morgan Lyons; and an honorary granddaughter, Paityn Bentley.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Webster and two brothers, Donald and George Moyer.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Msgr. Charles A. Kaza officiating.
Burial will be in Luthersburg Union Cemetery.
