No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident that occurred at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday on the Curwensville – Tyrone Highway in Knox Township. Michelle B. McLaughlin, 39, of Curwensville was traveling northbound when she lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway. Her vehicle exited the roadway and onto the west shoulder for approximately 185 feet. It re-entered the roadway and then exited the east shoulder, where it struck a tree stump. After impact the McLaughlin vehicle traveled approximately 45 feet in a counter-clockwise direction, coming to a rest on the east shoulder and facing west. McLaughlin was wearing her seatbelt. She’ll be cited for the accident through the district court.
