- An incident of burglary/theft occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Thursday and 5:30 a.m. Friday on Sanborn Road in Woodward Township. Someone entered a 24-year-old Houtzdale man’s garage and stole a 2012 Polaris Sportsman 500 all-terrain vehicle. The ATV was valued at $7,000. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- A hit-and-run accident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot area at City Drug in Curwensville Borough. The operator of a 1994 Volvo station wagon was traveling through the parking lot in the wrong direction and struck a legally parked 2000 S-10 pick-up truck. The station wagon was maroon-colored and sustained minor damage to its left front end. The truck wasn’t occupied at the time and had minor damage to its left front end. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clearfield-based state police at 814-857-3800.
- A handgun was found at 12:30 p.m. Saturday along state Route 153 near Sue Street in Houtzdale Borough. The owner can claim the gun by calling the Clearfield-based state police at 814-857-3800.
- At approximately 2:30 p.m. Saturday, a known 22-year-old Patton man allegedly threw an elbow/pipe fitting out of his passenger’s side window, which struck the front grill of a vehicle operated by a 62-year-old Austin man. Damage is estimated at $250. The incident is pending further investigation.
