PHOTO: CCCTC Holds Practical Nursing Graduation

The 70th graduating class and first part-time program of the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center’s (CCCTC) Practical Nursing Program graduated 11 students on Wednesday.  Commencement speaker was Cheryl Krieg, simulation coordinator.  Peg Barnes, nursing instructor, presented the graduates.  Philip Carr, chairman of Joint Operating Committee, awarded diplomas.  Nursing pins were awarded by Patricia McKnight, nursing instructor.  Academic awards were presented by Elsie Maurer, nursing program director. 

Recognition for highest grade point average was presented to Krista Roach and second highest grade point average to Carol Sarnoski.  Recognition for perfect attendance was awarded to Melanie Blessel and Carol Bastin.  Ashley Clark, nursing instructor, led the graduates in reciting the Practical Nursing Pledge.  Alene Homan, nursing instructor, welcomed the graduates to the nursing profession.  Farewell address was provided by Wendy Knepp.

The nursing program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and Pennsylvania Department of Education.
