Kathryn J. Blackman, 84, of Curwensville died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.
Born July 16, 1928, she was the daughter of Louis and Anna (Barone) Delucia. Mrs. Blackburn was proud to have lived her entire life on Bailey Road in Curwensville.
She had been employed by the former MacGregor Sportswear in Curwensville and then was employed by the former Superior Pet Products in Curwensville until the plant closure in 1988.
She was Roman Catholic by faith and was a lifetime member of the Curwensville L.O.O.M.
On June 30, 1956, she wed Samuel E. Blackburn, who preceded her in death on June 25, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Virginia Baronak; and five brothers, Premo, Vince, Roland, Armando and Wigi. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are two children, Rick Delucia and his wife, Pam and Teri Kay Stiles and her husband, Ernie, both of Curwensville. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Molly McFadden, Jason Stiles, Janessa Stiles, Clint Stiles and Mandy Stiles and six great-grandchildren.
At the request of Mrs. Blackburn, there will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
