CLEARFIELD – PennDOT advises drivers that Interstate 80 eastbound near Kylertown has re-opened. The road was closed until after 1 p.m. today due to a multi-vehicle accident this morning.

With both lanes now open, PennDOT has lifted the detour on Route 970, Route 322 and I-99. Drivers should remain alert for slow moving traffic as all routes return to normal.

PennDOT reminds motorists that they can monitor weather forecasts and check road conditions before beginning any travel. Visit www.511PA.com or call 511 from any telephone for access to current conditions on more than 2,900 miles of roadway.

When traveling during a winter storm, drivers should adjust their speed to accommodate for changing weather conditions, including visibility. Winter driving conditions require that motorists allow for a greater following distance between vehicles. Motorists are reminded to always buckle up.
