Bonnie L. Puit, 63, of Bloomington, Curwensville RD, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2012 at her residence.

Born April 7, 1949 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Woodrow Wilson and Dorothy L. (Hunt) Coder. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kellytown Union Church. 

On March 17, 1968 in the Oak Ridge Union Church, she wed William “Bill” Puit, who survives along with three children, Dottie Shawley and William Puit Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, both of Curwensville and Jim Puit and his wife, Dawn of Clearfield.

Surviving are nine grandchildren, Jesse Puit, Dan Maines, Danny Hubler, Bonnie Shawley, Allen Puit, Devan Kerin, Cheyenne Kerin, Jimmy Shawley and Josh Puit and two great-grandchildren, Zayne and Bruce Dunsmore

Also surviving are six sisters and a brother, Betty Walters and her husband, Walter of New Jersey, Deloris Erhart of Levittown, Norma Desmitt and her husband, Robert of McCartney, Dorothy Hamm and her husband, Harry of Madera, Robert Coder and Shirley Cutler and her husband, Fred, both of Hyde and Joyce Cartwright and her husband, Dan of Woodland.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Fred and Edward Coder.

Funeral services for Mrs. Puit will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville, with Pastor Robert Witherow officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park in Hyde.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.

The family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
