Donna Lou Dodge, 81, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center. She was born May 26, 1931, the daughter of Frank and Hilma (Johnson) Boyle.
Ms. Dodge was affiliated with West Side United Methodist Church.
She was retired from St. Charles Café. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air force during the Korean War. She was a former member of John Lewis Shade Post #6 American Legion and the RSVP.
Ms. Dodge is survived by three children, Patti L. Dodge Roach of Pittsburgh; Dennis L. Dodge, of Oklahoma; and Timothy L. Dodge and his wife, Donna of Columbia, SC; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; a sister; Dorothy Jean Ogden of Clearfield; and a brother, Richard Boyle of Clearfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one Son, John Lee Dodge; three sisters, Ruth Derrick, Sally (Sara) Sherwin and Madeline Mann.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with Pastor Paul A. Bowers officiating.
To share memories of Ms. Dodge, the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Clearfield Honor Guard.
Ms. Dodge’s wishes were that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Clearfield Historical Society, 104 E. Pine St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
