Clara R. Seaburn, 86, a resident of the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and formerly of Clearfield and Anderson, IN, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 at the nursing center.
Born May 5, 1926 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of John (Bert) and Carrie (Burns) Ruffner. She was retired from Warner Press in Anderson, IN in 1990 after 34 years of service.
She enjoyed crafting and helping with crafting programs at Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She wed Blair Seaburn on Jan. 2, 1951 and who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Helen Cutler and Nadine Nebgen and a brother, John Ruffner.
Surviving are three sisters, Lois Rowles and her husband, Ted of Mineral Springs, Kathryn Black of Altoona and Sandy Ogden of Hyde as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Seaburn will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with the Rev. Stephen Shields officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park in Hyde.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions be made to either the Meals on Wheels Program at the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, the American Cancer Society or the Community Care Group of Ridgeview Elder Care.
