Man Pleads Guilty to Possessing Cocaine

CLEARFIELD – A Muncy man accused of possessing cocaine pleaded guilty Tuesday in Clearfield County Court.

Joshua Lee Moser, 30, 239 West Penn St., Muncy, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to 35 days to one year in jail and one year consecutive probation. He was fined $350 plus costs. It was noted his time served sentence was due to his cooperation in the prosecution of other drug suspects.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on May 1, police received information that a vehicle was going to be delivering cocaine to a residence on Progress Camp Road in Goshen Township. An officer at that location saw a vehicle cross the double yellow line and fog lines on two occasions. Moser, who was driving the vehicle, was stopped and questioned on state Route 879 in Lawrence Township.

At first he said he was in the area to see a girl who had been introduced to him by a man named Clint. Because Moser was nervous, the officer asked if he could search the vehicle. Moser agreed, signing a consent form.

A search of the vehicle uncovered 16 individually wrapped baggies of cocaine, two white rocks of crack cocaine, three oxycodone pills, and two phentermine hydrochloride pills. He also had $755 in cash in the vehicle.

When interviewed, Moster signed a written statement admitting he had delivered cocaine to a location on Progress Camp Road to Clint Robert Horm.

On May 2 a search warrant was executed on the camp. Horm had a cell phone and $1,245 in currency. Inside the camp officers found a plastic bag with 3.1 grams of marijuana, three different pill containers with various pills, and four live marijuana plants growing in a plastic bucket. Inside his vehicle they found drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, mushrooms, and more marijuana. In a briefcase in the spare tire compartment of the trunk of the vehicle, police found 20.2 grams of methamphetamine, 0.21 grams of piperazine, 1.5 grams of sodium bicarbonate with cocaine residue, a cigarette wrapper with 0.19 grams of hashish, drug paraphernalia, and two digital scales.

Horm, 41, 145 Wrigley St., Clearfield, is charged with criminal conspiracy, three counts of manufacture/delivery/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, six counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance by person not registered and possession of drug paraphernalia. Horm waived his right to a hearing Jan. 9 and his bail was set at $25,000, unsecured.
