Grace A. Hook, 71, of DuBois died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at her residence. Born Feb. 2, 1941 in Gardner Hill, Elk County, she was the daughter of the late Norman O. and Isabelle B. (Duttry) Smith.
On Sept. 30, 1959, she married Joseph M. Hook. He preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 2002.
Mrs. Hook retired from Owens Illinois in Brockway after 20 years of service. She was also a homemaker.
She enjoyed canning, bingo, hunting and gardening. She loved her dog, Daisy and she especially loved to spend time with her family and her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph M. Hook Jr. and John T. Hook, both of DuBois; three daughters, Judy A. Reddinger and her husband, Richard of Brockway and Suzanne C. Hook and Sandra Jo Pollack and her husband Jeffrey, all of DuBois.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Julie Knepp, Sarah Hook, Carlie Waseleski, Lewis Reddinger, Shyanne Reddinger, Tabitha and Isabella Pollack, and Caleb and Bryce Hook; a great-grandchild, Josie Grace Knepp; a brother, Robert Smith of Sabula; and two sisters, Laura Wayne of Rockton and Edith Fridley of DuBois.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Donahue) and brother, Norman Smith.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor David Bish officiating.
Burial will follow in Luthersburg Union Cemetery.
