A 35-year-old Brisbin woman sustained moderate injuries after a single-vehicle accident at 4:38 p.m. Wednesday on the Jimmies Highway in Bigler Township. She was traveling southbound when her vehicle went onto the east berm. There, it struck a tree. The woman was transported to the Altoona Hospital for treatment by Madera Emergency Medical Services. She’ll be cited for careless driving. State police were assisted by the Madera Fire Company.
