A passerby found Knapp’s body beside her white 2013 Toyota Scion on Summerville Drive in Millcreek Township. She had purchased the car the same day that she had disappeared.
Millcreek Township is near Fisher. The Pennsylvania State Police had traced GPS coordinates form Knapp’s cellphone.
Clarion County Coroner Terry Shaffer assisted at the scene and an autopsy will be performed. Clarion County District Attorney Mark Aaron and Jefferson County District Attorney Jeff Burkett were also at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Clarion-based state police at 814-226-1710 or the Punxsutawney-based state police at 814-938-0510.
