CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Bank & Trust Co. President William E. Wood recently presented a $5,000 contribution to the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC). Receiving the contribution is Kellie Swales, Main Street manager.

Clearfield Bank & Trust Co. is a founding contributor to the CRC, pledging $5,000 per year for five years, which is a vital match for Clearfield to be a designated Main Street Community. In 2012, Clearfield Bank and Trust Co. donated an additional $5,000 to the CRC, totaling $10,000 for the year.

Swales said, “The generosity of Clearfield continues to amazes me.  This contribution from Clearfield Bank & Trust Co. means so much to the CRC on many levels. The CRC will be in a position in 2014, where state funding will end, and the CRC will need to be completely funded by the community of Clearfield.

“This contribution from Clearfield Bank & Trust Co. not only shows their support of our current programs and activities, but also gives faith to our volunteers to keep pushing forward towards the future and making a big impact in our community.”

Mr. Wood said, “We are very pleased to make an additional contribution for 2012.  The CRC has made significant progress in improving the appearance and bringing people into the downtown area.  Clearfield Bank & Trust Co. is happy to support this initiative and wish the members and volunteers much success.”

The CRC is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity. For more information, please contact Swales at 814-765-6000.
