- At 8 a.m. Thursday, state police initiated an investigation into the death of a 2 ½-year-old Reynoldsville boy. State police are being assisted by the Reynoldsville Ambulance Service, Reynoldsville Police Department, the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office; and the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- An incident of motor vehicle theft occurred sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. Saturday at the Bi-Lo Supermarket parking lot in Reynoldsville Borough. Someone took a 37-year-old Punxsutawney woman’s 2003 Jeep Liberty. The woman’s vehicle was recovered at approximately 9 a.m. along Kilmer Road in Sandy Township. It had become stuck in the snow, and the suspect fled the scene. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the DuBois-based state police at 814-371-4652.
