Peter Kashella, 84, of Munson died Sunday, January, 13, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital. Born Nov. 4, 1928 in Morrisdale, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Kose Kashella.
He’s survived by two daughters, Virginia Hazel and her husband, Wilmer and Michele Yingling and her husband, John, all of Munson and one son, Perry Kashella and his wife, Marge of Philipsburg.
Also surviving are one sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Lines of Morrisdale; two grandsons, Jason Hazel and his wife, Sarah of Morrisdale and Jamie Hazel of Munson; three granddaughters, Joan Kuntz of Morrisdale; Jackie Wechtenhiser and her husband, Chris of Clearfield; and Leslie Buffone and her husband, Shane of Brockway; two great-grandchildren, Susan Koontz and Jason Hazel Jr., both of Morrisdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kashella was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Sanker; four sisters, Mary Baronak; Suzanna Mondock; Margaret Spila; and Helen Kashella; six brothers, Mike Joseph, Andrew, George, Paul and John Kashella; and his companion, Phyllis Millinder.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel of the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, with Deacon Dennis Socash officiating. Burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Hawk Run.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
