DUBOIS – Many happy animals at the local American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) have the DuBois Business College Delta Beta Chi Sorority to thank. The sorority presented much-needed contributions to help the Philipsburg ASPCA, which is a part of a well-known animal protection agency.

The sorority undertook the service project to help stray animals at the Philipsburg ASPCA via a goods drive to provide supplies. These supplies include items, such as dog food, cat food, toys and other items that workers at the Philipsburg ASPCA need to keep unwanted animals in healthy and good shape until they are adopted by a loving home.

The recent drive took about three weeks to accomplish, according to Erica Perry, Delta Beta Chi Sorority president. Projects, such as the sorority’s goods drive for the ASPCA, are an important part of DuBois Business College’s desire to develop not only the academic skills of the students, but their moral and community involvement skills as well.
