Woman Sustains Major Injuries in Snyder Township Accident

SNYDER TOWNSHIP – An 80-year-old DuBois woman sustained major injuries after a single-vehicle accident that occurred at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Route 219 in Snyder Township.

The DuBois-based state police identified the woman as Kathryn D. McLaughlin, 80, of DuBois. She was the passenger. Operator Joseph B. McLaughlin, 84, of DuBois sustained moderate injuries. Both were transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center by EMS. Both were wearing their seatbelts.

State police said Joseph McLaughlin was traveling southbound on U.S. Route 219 when his vehicle traveled off the west shoulder and struck a tree. The Brockway Fire Department assisted state police at the scene.
