On Jan. 8, 2013, William A. (Billy) Neiswonger Jr., of Reynoldsville was taken from this life to be present with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
On Earth, he struggled daily with the things that all of us take for granted. He was unable to walk and speak like most of us. Now in Heaven, he is dancing, walking, singing and rejoicing with the Lord and the family members that have gone on before him.
He was born July 27, 1982 in DuBois. He lived there until 1994 when he moved to the McGuire Memorial Home in New Brighton. He resided there until September of 2012 when he moved to the DuBois Nursing Home.
He is survived by his parents, William A. and Sally (Bloom) Neiswonger Sr. of Reynoldsville; his sister, Mary Ward and her husband, Scott of Brookville; his brother, Michael Neiswonger; and his wife, Lisa of Reynoldsville; a nephew, Seth Ward of Brookville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vernon and Amaryllis Bloom, his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Leona Neiswonger, several aunts, uncles and a few cousins.
Mr. Neiswonger enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and going for walks while being pushed in his wheelchair.
He loved everyone who came to visit and cared for him. He had a smile that would light the room when he entered. His smile and joy has touched so many lives. Even though he struggled, he still found joy in this time on Earth. His life should be a lesson to all of us.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Eddy and Pastor Harold Hills co-officiating.
Burial will be in Luthersburg Union Cemetery.
