Man Flown to Altoona after Winslow Township Accident

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP – A 37-year-old Reynoldsville man was flown from the scene of a two-vehicle accident that occurred Friday at the intersection of U.S. Route 322 and Hormtown Road in Winslow Township.

The DuBois-based state police identified the man as Cory E. Oshenic, 37, of Reynoldsville. He was flown to the Altoona Regional Hospital with major injuries. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

In addition, Jeffrey A. Knapp, 45, of Brookville sustained moderate injuries. He was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center via ambulance. He was also wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The accident occurred when Oshenic pulled out from the parking lot of the Bear Claw Inn and into the path of the Knapp vehicle. The Knapp vehicle subsequently struck the side of that driven by Oshenic.   The investigation into the accident is continuing at this time.

State police were assisted by the Reynoldsville Fire Department.
