Obituary Notice: MaryAnn Ciamacco

MaryAnn Ciamacco, 79, of DuBois died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born Oct. 17, 1933 in Port Carbon, she was the daughter of Michael T. and Florence Rose (Purin) Sura.  Mrs. Ciamacco had been employed at the Hampton Inn of DuBois and retired from there.  She had attended the St. Joseph and the St. Michaels Roman Catholic Churches while living in DuBois.

She wed Joseph Ciamacco on June 20, 1953 and who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Joseph Monroe Ciamacco; a granddaughter, Michelle Ciamacco; a brother, Edward Sura; and a step-brother, Sonny Dalton.

Surviving is a son, Michael Ciamacco and wife, Florie of Curwensville; six grandchildren, Josie Georgiana and her husband, Chris; Mickey Ciamacco and his fiancé, Melissa; Max Ciamacco and his wife, Cammy; Joey Ciamacco and his wife, Cara; Holly Dodds and her husband, Drew and Robert Ciamacco; five great-grandchildren, Taitlyn, Kaceton and Lane Ciamacco and Joely and Gabriel Georgiana; and a sister, Dolores “Dolly” Yushko and her husband, Edward of Fredricksburg, VA.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville, with the Rev. Father Mark J. Mastrian as celebrant. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville.

The family suggests contributions be made to either the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital Memphis, TN or the charity of the donor’s choice.
