Droz A. Nelson, 69, of DuBois died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 4, 1943, he was the son of the late William H. and Beulah J. (Gifford) Nelson.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He retired from Triangle Auto Springs after more than 30 years of service. After his retirement, he became the co-founder and co-owner of Nelson’s Golden Years.
He was a gun and knife collector. He loved motorcycles.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Beth Chappell and her husband, Thomas of Manning, SC; a son, Toby Nelson and his wife, Tracy of Emporium; two step-sons, William Sebring and his wife, Shelley and Christopher Sebring, both of DuBois; one sister, Harriet Leitzell of DuBois; a niece, Justyne Clinton of DuBois; three grandchildren, Sgt. Douglas Petty, Mackenzie Kay Chappell and Maddison Rae Chappell; and one step-grandchild, Julia Sebring.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Saturday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home to celebrate Droz’s life.
