An incident of criminal mischief occurred at approximately 12:10 a.m. Thursday on state Route 879 in Curwensville Borough. Someone damaged the front window of a Chrysler Caravan that belonged to Health Ride Transportation. Damage is estimated at $250.
Minor injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at 3:20 p.m. along the Allport Cutoff Road in Graham Township. Victoria K. Curtin, 18, of Morrisdale and Melinda L. Simcisko, 46, of Winburne were traveling eastbound, and traffic had stopped in front of the Simcisko vehicle. Simcisko had almost brought her vehicle to a stop. At the same time, Curtin had taken her eyes off the roadway. When she re-focused, she saw the Simcisko vehicle was almost stopped and applied her brakes. However, Curtain wasn’t able to stop her vehicle and rear-ended that operated by Simcisko. Curtin sustained minor injuries. Both Curtain and Simcisko were wearing their seatbelts. Curtain will be cited for obedience to traffic devices.
