Pearson was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. His pick-up truck sustained severe damage. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clearfield County Coroner.
Pearson was traveling northbound on SR 153. He crossed over into the southbound lane and struck the west embankment. At that point, his pick-up truck overturned several times.
State police were assisted by the Clearfield Fire Department, Clearfield Ambulance and PennDOT.
