The Moshannon Valley Community Education Foundation recently presented educational grant awards to two clubs or departments in each district building. The groups were randomly selected and presented with a $50 award to be used for educational purposes within the grade level, department or club.
From the Moshannon Valley Junior-Senior High school, awards were given to the Varsity Club and the Spanish Club. The Varsity Club was represented by student President Austin Mital and the Spanish Club by teacher/advisor Shelly Tudor.
From the Moshannon Valley Elementary school, awards were given to the third grade and the music department. The third grade was represented by teacher Bethany Thompson and the music department by teacher Jessica Fisher.
Presenting the awards to the recipients is Laura Mihalko, MVCEF board member and Grant committee co-chairperson. Also pictured is Moshannon Valley Junior-Senior High school Principal John Dibert.
