DUBOIS – The following holiday events have been announced in the DuBois area.
DuBois Public Library Children’s Christmas
The activities include: Letters to Santa, Stories with Mrs. Claus and Christmas Confections. The event will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Dec. 8.
Holiday Tastes About Town
This is a food and wine pairing event that will be held from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Dec. 8.
It’ll be a Dickens of a tasting journey through downtown DuBois. Ten downtown shops and restaurants will be serving a wide array of food and wine inspired by Charles Dickens’ beloved “A Christmas Carol.” Wine will be provided by the Winery at Wilcox and Starr Hill Vineyards.
Participating business include The Day Spa DuBois, Brady Street Florist, Latino’s and Company Mexican Restaurant, Winkler Art Gallery, Luigi’s Ristorante, Uzi’s Pastries, Hockman Candy, Ben Rossi Jewelers, The Scrapbook Nook and Merle Norman Boutique.

Pancake Breakfast with Mickey and Minnie
A pancake breakfast will be held from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Dec. 15. Your entire family is invited down to the Fourth Ward Fire Hall located on South Brady Street for this all-you-can-eat holiday event. Parents are reminded to bring a camera for pictures with Mickey and Minnie.
Holiday House and Business Tour
The fourth annual Holiday House and Business Tour will be held from 3 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Dec. 15.
It’s a self-directed tour of five homes lovingly decorated for Christmas, plus beautiful holiday tributes at Trinity Chapel, DuBois Village and Brady Street Florist. Eight stops in all.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students (8 – 18 years old). Groups of 5 or more are $10 each if purchased in advance.

A Christmas Carol
A Christmas Carol will be presented at the Reitz Theater at 7 p.m. Dec. 8-9 and Dec. 13-15 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 9. Please call 814-375-4274 for details.
Christmas Concert at the Trinity Chapel
A Christmas concert will be held at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Trinity Chapel. This event will be featuring The Master’s Plan, Shawn Daly and sing along Christmas Carols.
Refreshments will be served afterwards. The concert will be free of charge, but there will be a love offering for the food bank.
