Betty Kathryn Thomas, 75, of Brackenridge and formerly of Clearfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at her home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1937 in Curwensville, a daughter of the late Irwin and Margaret (Sipes) Rauch.
Mrs. Thomas retired after 40 years of employment from Target Sportswear as a secretary in the shipping department. She will be remembered for loving her family and felt it a privilege raising her daughters.
She is survived by five daughters, Vickie Billotte of Brackenridge; Denise Fry and her husband, David and Lisa Robbins and husband, Phil, all of Clearfield; Mary Ellen Lippert of Pawleys Island, SC and Valerie Shaffer and her husband, Steve of State College; 12 grandchildren, Kylee, Leland, Valerie, Christine, Kathy, Stacy, Heather, Erika, Donald, Corrinne, Grant and Gavin; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rose Mary Swatsworth and her husband, Robert of Grampian.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Wayne Thomas, on May 21, 2010 and whom she wed July 5, 1958 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, Thomas, James and William Rauch.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield. Burial will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the funeral home.
