- An incident of criminal mischief occurred at 4 p.m. Saturday in the lot adjacent to North Richard Street in Rush Township. Two boys were observed damaging windshields and windows of salvaged cars. They were approached and detained until police arrival. The investigation is continuing at this time. Charges are to be filed through the district court in Philipsburg.
- No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident at 10 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Beaver and South Eagle Valley roads in Huston Township. Leopold R. Cleveland III, 46, of Morrisdale was traveling east on Beaver Road and approached the stop sign at the intersection. He applied his brakes, which failed and went to the floorboard. Without any brakes, the Cleveland vehicle proceeded through the intersection and entered the parking lot at Second Chance Auto. There, it struck a traffic signpost and a parked/unoccupied vehicle.
- A Cranberry Township man left his hunting rifle on the ground at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 27 on Hannah Furnace Road near Horse Hollow Road in Rush Township. The man returned after realizing he’d left the rifle there. It is a Winchester model 88 308. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Philipsburg-based state police at 814-342-3370.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between Saturday and Monday at a Harness Downs Road residence in Halfmoon Township. A 48-year-old Port Matilda woman reported to state police that on two occasions, someone cut wires on her Christmas light display in her front yard.
