Mae Louise Rainey, 74, of Curwensville died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at her residence.
Born April 8, 1938 in Pike Township, she was the daughter of William McKinley and Sarah Ellen (Johnson) Heitsenrether. Mrs. Rainey was retired from the former Kent’s Sportswear in Curwensville. She had also worked as a bartender for both the LaJose Hotel and the Curwensville L.O.O.M.
She was a member of the Living Hope Apostolic Church in Clearfield and was a charter member of the Mahaffey VFW.
Surviving are five children, Doug Heitsenrether and Dave Heitsenrether, both of Erie; Laura Bennett and her husband, Rick of Glen Richey; Scott Rainey and his fiancée, Sharon Passmore of Carnwath; and Tim Rainey of Albion. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Sutherland and Mildred “Mid” Bradshaw, both of New York.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, George Heitsenrether and a sister, Ruth Dunlap.
At the request of Mrs. Rainey, there will be no public visitation. A memorial funeral service will be held at a later date.
