ARC to Hold Preparedness, Health and Safety Courses in December

DUBOIS – The arrival of the winter months and the holiday season brings countless shopping trips, holiday treat baking and skiing as well as sledding excursions.

These fun activities should always be approached with caution, as they have potentially unfortunate outcomes. Community members can learn how to handle emergencies, which might arise during the hustle and bustle of December by taking an American Red Cross preparedness, health and safety course.

The Red Cross offers health and safety classes that equip individuals with the necessary skills to prepare for and respond to life threatening situations. Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications enable individuals to respond quickly and appropriately in the event of an emergency. Area residents are encouraged to sign up for a training course and join the 5 million people who have enrolled and learned how to save a life.

The following classes will be offered in DuBois in December. The courses will be held at the local Red Cross office, located at 109 N. Brady St., DuBois, PA 15801.

In addition to area residents, businesses, organizations and community groups can register for private instruction from the Red Cross. To register for a nearby individual class or private group instruction, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit RedCross.org.
