“A Christmas Carol” Wraps Up Reitz Theater’s 20th Anniversary

DUBOIS – Nothing ushers in the Christmas season better than a theatric classic, as the Reitz Theater, DuBois, wraps up its 20th anniversary season with the holiday favorite, “A Christmas Carol.”

Shows are set for 7 p.m. Dec. 7-8, and Dec. 13-15 ad at 2 p.m. Dec. 9.

Director Sharon Jerashen is excited to bring this classic to the Reitz Theater stage and is very proud of her cast and crew. She said, “The show is comprised of an extremely talented group of 30 people, ranging in age from 5 years to 50 years.

“Several of our actors are new to the Reitz and are really raising the bar for future shows.”

The Romulus Linney adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic is the story of Ebenezer Scrooge (played by Jared Maines), a selfish miserable old man who transforms into someone filled with kindness, generosity and the true embodiment of the spirit of Christmas with the help of three ghosts..

There will be a special event on opening night, as Hockman Candy will present sweet treats Dec. 7.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and students and $5 for children 12 and under.
