Paddle Auction to Benefit Clearfield SPCA

CLEARFIELD – A paddle auction to benefit the Clearfield County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) will be held Dec. 9 at the St. Charles Café in Clearfield. The new shelter building has been completed, and they’re beginning work to its interior.

So far vendors for the auction, they include Pink Zebra, Paparazzi Jewelry, Jamberry Nails, Dirt Broke Gourmet

Dip Company, Tastefully Simple, Mary Kay, Origami Owl, Scentsy and Comforts of Home Soy Candles.  

Admission is $3 and includes one paddle. Additional paddles may be purchased for $1. 

Attendees will also receive a free paddle if they bring a donation from the SPCA wish list. These items include: clay cat litter, postage stamps, paper towels, copy paper, bleach, garbage bags, paper plates, Sheetz gas card, Kong brand dog toys and old towels/blankets (gently used).

Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. with the auction set from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Hot food, desserts and beverages will be available for purchase during the auction and the proceeds will also benefit the SPCA.

Pam Smith of the SPCA said, “This is a great opportunity to pick up some Christmas gifts and help homeless animals this holiday season.”
