Men’s hockey to play Ohio Feb. 1 at Hershey’s GIANT Center

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men’s hockey team’s game against Ohio University Feb. 1 has been moved to the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pa. Tickets for the 7 p.m. matchup will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30.

The two former American Collegiate Hockey Association rivals will face off in Hershey for the front end of a two-game series. Although originally scheduled at Greenberg Ice Pavilion, the Feb. 1 matchup was not included in any ticket packages or single-game tickets sold by Penn State.

Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or through the GIANT Center Box Office, which is open Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., at 717-534-3911. General admission tickets will cost $10 each, while club seats will cost $15 each.

The GIANT Center, home to the American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears, will represent the third AHL venue on Penn State’s 2012-13 schedule. The Nittany Lions edged AIC, 4-3, in overtime at Mohegan Sun Arena in Casey Plaza, home to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Oct. 13 and topped RIT, 3-2, at the Rochester American’s Blue Cross Arena Oct. 20.

Following Friday night’s contest, the teams will return to the Greenberg Ice Pavilion Saturday, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m.
