Bobette M. Peterson, 76, of DuBois died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.
Born Oct. 8, 1936 in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William Shaw and Jean F. (Montena) Shaw Viele.
On June 4, 1955 in New Brunswick, NJ, she married John Peterson. He survives.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Jean Tirado and her husband, Hosea of Salt Lake City, UT; Bobette Peterson and Laura D. Kilmer, both of DuBois; JoAnne Krall and her husband, Ken of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; Judith Goodheart and her husband, Michael of Franklin Township, NJ; and John W. Peterson of Grand Canyon City, AZ; a sister, Elaine Giblin of Florida; a brother, Richard J. Viger and his wife, Gwen of Georgia; and four grandchildren, Tammy Mulvaney, Amy Hogan, Jeffrey Mulvaney and Ryla Kilmer.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating.
