John R. Carlson, 77, of DuBois died Thursday Nov. 8, 2012 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 17, 1935, he was the son of the late Francis J. and Anna (London) Carlson.
He worked for the DuBois Courier-Express for many years. He was previously the custodian for the First United Presbyterian Church in DuBois. He was a 1954 graduate of DuBois Area High School
He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed watching old westerns and reading.
He is survived by two sisters, Carol Snell of Rochester, NY and Marjorie Carlson of DuBois; a brother, William Carlson and his wife, Vicki of Brookville; six nephews, Bill, Tom, Kevin and Teddy Snell and Stephen and Eric Carlson; and a niece, Lesley Carlson.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Sarah Ott officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
