Nittany Lions in the NFL: Week Nine

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — With 27 Nittany Lions on National Football League rosters, Penn State is well represented in the professional ranks. Each week throughout the year, www.GoPSUsports.com will provide updates on the exploits of these former Nittany Lion greats. Top performances from week nine of the 2012 season included linebacker Tamba Hali’s (Kansas City) nine tackles (six solo), including one sack, against the Chargers and defensive end Cameron Wake’s (Miami) four tackles, one sack and a forced fumble against the Colts.

Navorro Bowman (2007-09), LB, San Francisco 49ers

Through nine weeks, Bowman ranks 15th in the league with 68 tackles (42 solo). He has also collected one interception.

Brett Brackett (2007-10), TE, Jacksonville Jaguars

Brackett was placed on injured reserve Sept. 4.

Levi Brown (2003-06), OT, Arizona Cardinals

Brown was placed on injured reserve Aug. 24.

Connor was inactive against the Falcons.

Crawford was inactive against the Buccaneers.

Gould made three field goals for the Bears, connecting on tries from 40, 25 and 22 yards. He also converted on all six extra points.

Tamba Hali (2002-05), LB, Kansas City Chiefs

Hali tied a game high with nine tackles (six solo), including one sack, against the Chargers.

Josh Hull (2006-09), LB, St. Louis Rams

Shipley played the majority of snaps at center for the Colts, helping Indianapolis outgain Miami by a 516-365 margin.

Still recorded five tackles (two solo) against the Broncos.

Wake recorded four tackles, including one sack, and a forced fumble against the Colts.

Stefan Wisniewski (2007-10), OL, Oakland Raiders

Wisniewski started at center for the fifth straight game and helped the Raiders gain 424 yards.
