Man Sustains Moderate Injuries after Tractor-trailer Plummets over High Wall

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – A Durham, NC man sustained moderate injuries after his tractor-trailer, which was hauling chocolate, plummeted over a high wall at 4:45 a.m. this morning along Interstate 80 eastbound at mile marker 114.2 in Lawrence Township, according to the Clearfield-based state police.

Joel Wilson of Durham, NC had driven off the roadway onto the grass median. The Wilson tractor-trailer traveled for approximately 80 yards before it plummeted an additional 80 yards over a high wall.

Wilson was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident; however, he sustained moderate injuries. He was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for further medical evaluation.
