CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield Community Hurricane Sandy Donation Drive is being held through Friday at the Ag Building at the Clearfield Driving Park. The collection times are from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
A tractor-trailer of necessities will be delivered Saturday to neighborhoods affected by Hurricane Sandy in Staten Island, NY. Community members are invited to join the effort by donating and asking others to do so.
The victims of this disaster are in great need of the following items:
- Water
- Ready-to-eat, non-perishable foods
- Can openers
- School supplies
- Blankets
- Flashlights
- Batteries
- Pet food
- Clean-up equipment, such as work gloves, shovels, garbage bags, rakes, etc.
- Toiletries, such as toilet paper, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, towels, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, diapers, etc.
Clothing items cannot be accepted. Please do not donate clothing, with the exception of new, unopened packages underwear and socks.
