CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Nov. 5.

Shaw identified the fugitive as William John Lamb Sr., 43, of Copelin Road, Philipsburg. Lamb is wanted for failure to appear at plea and sentencing court on Oct. 23.

On Sept. 9, 2011, Chief Timothy O’Leary of the Decatur Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint, charging Lamb with theft by unlawful taking; receiving stolen property; ad criminal trespass.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by O’Leary states that on Aug. 16, 2011, the Decatur Township Police Department received a report about a theft of various pieces of metal from a residence located on Copelin Road in Decatur Township. Upon investigation it was found that Lamb had unlawfully removed approximately $2,800 worth of metal from the victim’s property.

A preliminary hearing was held July 18, at which time all charges were held to court. On Oct. 23, Lamb failed to appear for plea and sentencing court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Lamb is described as follows a Caucasian male, standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He has hazel eyes and brown hair.
