WJAC-TV: AG to hold News Conference regarding PSU Sex Abuse Case

HARRISBURG – A former Penn State University president is expected to be charged today for his role in the alleged cover-up of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse case.

WJAC-TV has learned that Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda L. Kelly will announce that criminal charges will be filed against former PSU President Graham Spanier.

Kelly will hold a news conference at 12 p.m. today in Harrisburg regarding the sexual abuse case. WJAC-TV will be at the news conference and will broadcast it live on-air and on WJACTV.com. Click here to watch the live viddeo of the news conference.

Former FBI Director Louis Freeh’s report identifies Spanier as one of four Penn State leaders who covered up Sandusky’s child sex abuse in order to spare the University of negative publicity.

In June, a jury found Sandusky guilty of 45 counts of child sex abuse. He was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison.
