- The investigation is continuing into an incident of burglary that occurred sometime between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at a Liddle Road residence in Goshen Township. Someone entered a 40-year-old Shawville man’s residence and removed an entertainment system, which was still in its box and of unknown value; two Steelers wrist watches valued at $300; and cashed two checks for a total of $700.
- No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at 7:21 a.m. Monday on Front Street in Decatur Township. Cathy A. Green, 56, of Mineral Springs was traveling eastbound and Patricia A. Young, 60, of Clearfield was traveling westbound. Green turned left onto state Route 53 at which point the Young vehicle struck its right, rear door. Neither Green nor Young were injured and both were wearing their seatbelts. Green was cited for vehicle turning left. Police were assisted by the Philipsburg Fire Company.
