State Police Probing Hit-and-Run

RUSH TOWNSHIP – The Philipsburg-based state police are probing a hit-and-run accident that occurred at approximately 2:05 a.m. Sunday on State Street in Rush Township.

A 1998 silver Dodge pick-up was traveling eastbound when the operator lost control. The operator then exited the roadway and struck an embankment with its left, front bumper area.

The pick-up continued traveling eastbound along the embankment for approximately 100 feet before re-entering State Street. It came to a rest in the middle of the roadway, facing east on the driver’s side, state police said.

The pick-up sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Its operator fled the scene.
