Sarabelle Petrone, 88, of Curwensville died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital after a brief illness.
Born Dec. 31, 1923 in Houtzdale, she was the daughter of John and Leah (MacDonald) Hoyt. Mrs. Petrone was a homemaker and a member of the Jehovah Witness in Philipsburg.
On Jan. 10, 1953 in Curwensville, she wed Philip Joseph Petrone, who preceded her in death Sept. 1, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Donald and Jack Hoyt and a sister, Betty Marino. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are three children, Judith Tubbs and her husband, Robert and Jon Petrone and his wife, Tracy, both of Curwensville and Claudia Kitko and her husband, David of Houtzdale. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Matt Tubbs, who is serving in the U.S. Army and stationed at Indiantown Gap Military Reserve Annville; Angela Kitko of Bellwood, Kristin Kitko and Michael Kitko, both of Houtzdale; and Karley Petrone of Curwensville.
At the request of Mrs. Petrone, there will be no public visitation, and private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
