Albert L Matier, 83 a guest of the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield, and formerly of rural Houtzdale died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at the center. He was born Nov. 29, 1928 in Madera, the son of Anthony and Ann (Orossey) Matier.
He was employed as a coal miner until his retirement.
He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Andrew; an infant brother, Paul; and a sister, Ann Lutchko.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate generation.
There will be no public visitation and burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
