Helen J. Zatsick, 90, of DuBois died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at the home of her daughter.
Born Feb. 11, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Lottie (Malicki) Karoleski.
On Jan. 24, 1940, she married Alex J “Zulu” Zatsick. He preceded her in death March 18, 1998.
Mrs. Zatsick worked at the Brockway Glass Company and later became a self-employed beautician.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Infant of Prague Society. She was also a member of the Polish Citizens Club Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to knit and spend time with her family.
She’s survived by two children, Alexis Stetz and her husband Gary of DuBois and Daniel Zatsick and his wife, Nancy of Sewell, NJ; two brothers, Leo and Edward Karoleski, both of DuBois; five grandchildren, Shanna Block and her husband, Jim; Ryan and Erica Stetz; Greg Zatsick and his wife, Jackie and Allison Zatsick; and four great-grandchildren, Kourtney and Brayden Zatsick and Lilly and Weston Block.
She was preceded in death by infant twin daughters and a son, John “Jeep” Zatsick.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
The rosary will be prayed at 1:45 p.m. and a scriptural wake service will held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. David Foradori as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
