McLaughlin and a 47-year-old man engaged in a verbal argument about a previous incident that had occurred the same day. The accused allegedly was intoxicated and forcibly entered the man’s bedroom.
McLaughlin then allegedly grabbed the man by the neck, while he was in his wheel chair due to a disability. He allegedly started choking the man until he went unconscious, state police said.
McLaughlin was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Patrick Ford on charges of simple assault and harassment. His bail was set at $50,000 straight.
