DUBOIS – During the fall months, local residents engage in many activities from jumping in piles of fresh leaves to taking family trips to the local pumpkin patch. As residents make memories with loved ones, they can also learn how to protect them in a life-threatening situation. The American Red Cross offers beneficial health and safety preparedness courses during the month of November to ensure the entire community can be prepared for all emergencies.
The Red Cross designs its courses to equip individuals with the necessary skills and training to respond in the event of an emergency. Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications enable individuals to provide prompt, appropriate responses to life-threatening situations. Area residents are encouraged to sign up for a training course and join the five million people who have enrolled and learned how to save a life.
The following classes will be offered in DuBois in November. The courses will be held at the local Red Cross office, located at 109 N. Brady St. in DuBois, PA 15801.
- Saturday, Nov. 10; 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.; Adult CPR/AED; $70
- Saturday, Nov. 10; 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED; $110
- Tuesday, Nov. 13; 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.; Adult CPR/AED; $70
- Tuesday, Nov. 13; 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 15; 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.; Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED; $110
