WJAC-TV: Man Accused of Stealing Jewelry, Selling it to Gold Store

JEFFERSON COUNTY – A Punxsutawney man is facing burglary and theft charges after police said he sold stolen jewelry for money.

Police said Tucker Eugene Smith, 24, of Brookville unlawfully entered at least three homes and removed rings and necklaces. He then sold the jewelry to a local gold coin and jewelry store for money.

Smith is currently in the Jefferson County Jail. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Nov. 27 before Magisterial District Judge Douglas Robert Chambers.
