Margaret “Peggy” L. Himes, 71, of DuBois died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born May 18, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Zelda (Radaker) Stewart. On May 2, 1970, she married Dale L. Himes. He survives.
She, along her husband, was the owner/operator of the former Himes Country Fruit Market at the blinker light in DuBois for many years.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Luthersburg.
When her children were younger, she was an active volunteer at the Luthersburg Elementary School.
She is survived by her daughters, Carrie Dorsey and her husband, Russell of Fallston, MD and Christie Maisel and her husband, Josh of Poolesville, MD; four grandchildren, James and Jacob Maisel and Amanda and Sara Dorsey.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Luthersburg with Pastor Timothy Spence.
Burial will be in Luthersburg Union Cemetery.
