Charlotte M. Koziol, 93, of Clearfield died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Mrs. Koziol was born Oct. 7, 1919 in West Decatur, the daughter of Grant and Ruby
(Shimmel) Kuhn.
She had worked for the former McGregor’s and owned a bar in Niagara Falls. She had also worked for Clear Care as a nurses’ aide.
She was affiliated with the Kerr Addition United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Koziol was a lifetime member of the Hyde Fire Department Auxiliary and was a past president of the Clearfield Eagles.
She is survived by a son, Norman Kyler of Curwensville; four grandchildren, Kenneth
R. Kyler, Norman J. Kyler, Jendi L. Baumgardner and Melissa A. Kyler; seven great-grandchildren; a niece, Brenda Ranck of Georgia, whom she raised; a brother, Alvin
C. Kuhn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Koziol was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Kenneth Kyler; her second husband, Joseph Koziol; a daughter, Patricia Lou Kyler; two sisters, Pearl Woods and Lerose Heichel; three brothers, Woodrow W., Ronald “Glen” and Rodney C. Kuhn; and a step-daughter, Lori Jo Koziol.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., of Clearfield with Pastor Mark Brower officiating.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
